Christmas pic with the Anton's

Each year we take a Christmas pic at Thanksgiving for Jim and Ann's Christmas cards. We usually take it outside but it was so rainy this year we took it inside. The back row is Steven, Becky, Colleen, Robert, Kai and Michelle. Sitting on top of the couch is Ashley, Alex, Kody and Kaleigh. Jim is holding Megan, Ann is holding Ashley and Tyler is in the middle.

Steven's 37th Birthday!

We celebrated Steven's Birthday at our house with his parents, Michelle and her family, Colleen and her family and Susie. I asked Tyler what kind of cake we should get Daddy and he jokingly said - a cheeseburger. So I asked this incredible cake lady if she could make a cheeseburger, plain and dry with french fries and she did! It was amazing!! It looked just like a cheeseburger and was actually hard to eat because you knew it was sweet and cake but it looked like cheese and hamburger meat. It really tricked your brain but everyone loved it!!

New pics with Kenny's Family

We took a new pic last week with Kenny and Connie and all the kiddos. The last time we took one Megan was almost a year old. The pics turned out great but what you don't see are the Picture People jumping up and down and saying crazy things like poo-poo and boogers because those are the only thing that would get Megan to laugh - lovely!!

Thanksgiving!

This year we celebrated Thanksgiving at the Steven's parents house. It was very chilly outside but the kids still had fun playing bubbles with their cousins. Annie did a great job and the food was yum-o!!

Aunt Susie as the Tin Man!

Aunt Susie's school had "dress as your favorite character day" and all of the administrators decided to be characters from Wizard of Oz. With my Mom and all her sewing expertise at the hospital with my Dad . . . it was up to Susie and I to create something magical. With lots of help from the kiddos and about 80 safety pins, I think we did a pretty good job!!

Papa Steve at the Hospital!

Today I took the kids out of school a little early so we could drive downtown to see Papa Steve. Tyler and Megan knew his heart had a boo-boo on it and they had drawn a ton of pictures for him - so we decided to venture down there for a visit. My dad had Heart Valve Replacement surgery on Mon. His valve was damaged from the radiation from his Hodgkin's Disease 30 yrs ago. He is doing great and looked good when we were there. The kids were excited to see him and other than a small fit in the middle of the lobby of Methodist Hospital with shoes flying through the air and another fit deciding who would give the valet the dollar bill (we gave him two) - it all went fairly well - ha!

Gymnastics!

Tyler and Megan started at a new Gymnastics place in September. Tyler has been in Gymnastics since he was 3 and Megan started last January when she turned 2. The new building is beautiful and the coaches are wonderful! I love it because I can actually sit for an hour and visit instead of chasing little ones around! Ha! Megan is in the "preschool" class and Tyler is in the "kinderboys" class and actually gets to use the big kid equipment - he especially loves the rings because they are sooo high and he knows they scare me! Megan's favorite is the trampoline and the giant slide they get to play on at the end of class!

Nemo on Ice!!

On Sunday we went to Disney's Nemo on Ice! The kids had a blast and Mamma Debbie Redditt made us all (ALL) matching shirts! It was our last big hurrah before my Dad's heart surgery on Mon. His surgery went well today and the Dr's are optimistic about his recovery. Thanks to everyone for their prayers!!

50th Day of School!

Tyler's school celebrated the 50th day of school by having a "50's Day!" Tyler looked so cute this morning. He had on his new black high tops (Megan got pink ones) and we slicked his hair back the best we could! He had a comb in his back pocket and I rolled up a box of raisins in his shirt sleeve - he thought that was hilarious. The final touch was a "tattoo" on his arm with a heart, an arrow and "Mom" written in the middle. I asked him if he wanted me to write a girls name instead but he didn't like that idea!!

Trick or Treating with Daddy!

The kids just couldn't wait any longer so we had to start a little early! Megan lasted about 1/2 the neighborhood and Tyler didn't want to stop!
