Whorton Hears a Who!!!

During Spring Break we took the kids to IHOP and to see the movie Whorton Hears a Who! At IHOP they have Whorton Hears a Who pancakes! The kids thought they were so funny and shocked that we let them eat a lollipop for breakfast! They also have a special Dr. Seuss drink that they shared (its really just sprite and jello cubes)! We went with Becky's Parents, Susie and our cousins Heather and Garrett to see the movie. The kids had a great time!

Easter with our Families!

For Easter lunch our family's came over and everyone brought something to share. The weather was so beautiful outside! The kids had fun playing with their cousins - Heather, Garrett, Ashley, Alex and little Ashley! (Kaleigh and Kody were coming back from skiing in Colorado)

Hunting for eggs!

Well . . . after the girl Easter Bunny stayed up till midnight stuffing Easter eggs and baskets, the boy Easter Bunny got up about 6:30 to hide them, only the boy Easter Bunny decided to hide them in the house? Thankfully the girl Easter Bunny was able to convince him that they should be hidden outside so all the eggs were collected and hid in the backyard! The kids had a blast trying to find them and Tyler was very sweet to let Megan catch up and find her own. Tyler also made the Easter Bunny art for the front door.

Easter Morning

The night before Easter we decorated Easter eggs and the kids slept in Tyler's room for a mini slumber party! They were so excited when they woke to see their Easter baskets and all their surprises! The Easter Bunny gave Megan bunny ears and she was laughing so hard she could hardly smile! He also gave both new sunglasses. The pic of the pottery is their Easter decorations they made at a painting place. Megan painted the egg and Tyler painted the bunny.

Playgroup Easter Party!

We celebrated our annual playgroup Easter Party on the windiest day of the year. The wind made it so chilly but the kids still had fun. Thankfully the wind dumped all the food on the ground just as we finished eating. This year we made the kids hide 12 eggs for their friends (instead of the mommies) and then the kiddos each got to hunt for 12 eggs - don't know why we didn't think of that part sooner!!

St. Patrick's Day!

Our last day in Dallas was St. Patrick's Day. That evening we went to a yum-o mexican restaurant that had horses out front to entertain the kiddos - wish we had brought more quarters!! The kids looked so cute in their green outfits!

American Girl Store & Bistro!

On our 2nd day in Dallas, Kristen and I took both Megans to the American Girl Store and Bistro. (Ashley babysat Dylan and Tyler and the Dads played golf!). The girls were in awe of all the Dollies and all their accessories - so were the mommies! We shopped first and my Megan got a little tea set and backpack carrier. For lunch we went upstairs to their Bistro were everyone got a star cookie cutter and they have special high chairs for their Dolls - it was sooooooo cute!!

Dallas for Spring Break

For Spring Break we went to Dallas to visit my childhood friend Kristen and her family. We had such a wonderful visit! We arrived just in time to see her oldest daughter Ashley, play in the championship game for her select softball league. Her team took first place!! Of course the little ones enjoyed the playground the best!

Kaleigh's Softball & NO MORE BRACES!!

Our neice Kaleigh is now playing for the High School JV Softball Team. The kids were so excited to see her play but more exciting was to see her without her braces!!

Kindergarten Field Day

Tyler had his Field Day this week and it was wonderful. The Kindergartners were able to pick all their favorite activities and High Schoolers came to run each station. The weather was perfect! PS. Check out Tyler's tongue in the last pic - too funny!

Hayes Hoedown

Tyler's school had a Hoedown, silent auction, family dinner, bookfair and open house all in the same night. All the Mammas, Papas, Aunt Susie and our 2 cousins were able to attend. The kids had a great time and looked cute in their western wear!

ABC Interview

For those who don't know . . . I had the gastric "Realize" band procedure done on Jan 2. The first week was the pits but all is well now and I've lost 30 lbs - yahoo! The band that the Dr's used is a new band that comes with website support. Our local channel 13 - ABC did a story and interviewed me, Dr. Wilson and Connie (Kenny's wife). Here is a pic with me, Christi Myers and the camera guy and a link to the interview video:

Hannah Montana Rodeo Concert

Tyler and I went with our friends Audrey and Ms. Jennifer to the Hannah Montana/Miley Cyrus concert at the Houston Rodeo. The kids had a blast - they got to ride a carnival ride and each won a toy and the mommies shared a funnel cake - yummy!!

My Cousin Amanda's Shower

My cousin Amanda is getting married in May - she is Tyler's Godmother. We helped to host her shower in Houston and Megan was thrilled to go to her "Princess Party" as she called it! Megan loved "helping" Amanda open all her presents!

Tyler's Last Basketball Game and Team Party

Tyler had his last YMCA Basketball Game and Team Party a few weeks ago. I finally figured out how to take a little video with my digital camera - sorry for the blurriness! The team went for ice cream after and he was so proud of his trophy!
