Becky's Birthday

For my birthday today we went swimming with the Anton's and all the cousins. Then we went to my parents house for dinner and yum-o birthday cake from the Dessert Gallery!

NASA - On the Way Home!

You know its been a fun filled day when the kids zonk out just as they get their seat belts on - both slept the entire hour all the way home - it was so lovely listening to my own music!

After NASA - Ridemakerz

After NASA we stopped at the Baybrook Mall to see the new Lego's store (thanks Laura Ann!) and the new Ridemakerz store. Tyler thought he was in Heaven in the Lego's store (who knew Lego's were so expensive??) He is officially addicted! The Ridemakerz store is Build-a-Bear's new concept store for boys. Its just like Build-a-Bear but you build your own car - you get to pick your car frame, wheels, rims, sound, remote control and all that other car stuff! We were all a little bit overwhelmed but the kids thought it was fun to use the drill to put their cars together. I think bigger boys and Dads would love it!

NASA - Star Wars Exhibit

Tyler was very excited about seeing the Clone Wars - Star Wars exhibit. He thought the Storm Trooper and Battle Ship were very cool and Megan loved seeing Yoda - she thought she would give him a little lovin'! For those that don't know I dressed up as Yoda in 2nd grade for Halloween and had Yoda underoos (remember those!) so we have a soft place in our heart for Yoda at our house!

NASA - Giant Slide, Dora & Scooby

These are the pics of the kids going down the 2 story slide - a little scary because you can't see the start and the finish at the same time - I picked the finish because I figured gravity would bring them down sooner or later - ha! Also, Megan's favorite - Dora and Tyler's - Scooby Doo!!

NASA - Daredevil Island Adventure

I took the kiddos to NASA (by myself - yikes!) for one of their Wacky Wednesdays! We heard Dora was there and Tyler had seen the commercials for the Star Wars Clone Exhibit. Dora was good but we only got to see her for a few minutes and the Star Wars display was interesting but not very interactive. The most exciting part was the Daredevil Island (Indian Jones type) Adventure. Tyler had a blast jumping on a trampoline, swinging on the trapeze and walking the tight rope!

Date Night

Our playgroup swaps babysitting and date night and it was our turn to babysit. We decided to take the kiddos to the neighborhood pool for swimming and pizza and all the kids spent the night - it actually went really well! They all slept longer than I thought and had donuts with lots of sprinkles for breakfast. All the little girls wanted french braids and the boys just wanted to watch cartoons!

We've been going to the pool all summer with our playgroup and I finally got a few to pose for pics on their favorite slide!

We were invited to an anniversary party and Steven was taking pictures and actually got a few good ones of Me, Papa Steve, Mamma Debbie Redditt and the kiddos!

4th of July

We had a quiet 4th of July at our house. My parents came over for dinner and we had Sushi - of course to celebrate our nation's birthday! We actually went to a fire works stand for the 1st time with the kiddos - Tyler was very impressed by that. We mostly did sparklers and a few little ones. After the fireworks Steven's parents came over and we all had ice cream - fun fun fun!

4th of July Parade

We decided to stay home this year for the 4th of July so we had our own little car parade with the kiddos cars. Megan still hasn't quite figured out steering - although she's got the pedal to the metal part down! What she prefers to do is ride as a passenger in Tyler's car. I keep trying to envision them in 10 years - very scary!!

Wall-E

We got the kids Wall- E shirts and took them to see the movie with my parents. Even though there was hardly any dialogue in the movie they were both very intrigued. I think the pizza and m&m's at the Alamo Movie Theater helped though!
